Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision today at the Roosevelt Courts to the Rams of Farmingdale State College in a non-conference match.
With the loss, BC falls to 1-11 overall on the season; while Farmingdale improves to 9-4 overall on the year.
The Rams would jump out to a commanding 3-0 lead after sweeping all three doubles flights. The visitors took the first two doubles matches by an identical 8-3 score and battled back to take an 8-5 win at #3 doubles.
Farmingdale continued to dominate play in singles action, taking five of the six flights, en route to its 8-1 victory.
The lone Brooklyn victory came from sophomore
Cheyne Tribbey, who took home the win at #6 singles, 6-3, 7-5, over his opponent Sergio Rivera.
Brooklyn will be back in action tomorrow, Thursday, April 19th, as the Bulldogs will play host to borough rival St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn). The match is slated for a 4:30 pm start time at the Roosevelt Courts.
