Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Tennis team finished the 2012 regular season with a three-match winning streak, which included a pair of wins over City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) rivals the City College of New York (CCNY) and Lehman College, to claim the #5 seed in the upcoming CUNYAC Men's Tennis Championships.
The Bulldogs finished the regular season in a three-way tie for the fifth seed with Lehman and York College. BC earned the tie-breaker based on aggregate scores.
Brooklyn will begin the conference championships on Wednesday, April 25th as the Bulldogs will travel to Staten Island, NY to take on the #4 seeded Dolphins of the College of Staten Island in the quarterfinals round. CSI defeated BC, 8-1, in their regular season meeting back on March 25th.
If the Bulldogs pull off the upset, Brooklyn will advance to the semifinals round on Sunday, April 29th, where the winner between #1 Baruch College and #8 CCNY will await. The championship final is scheduled for Thursday, May 3rd. Both the semifinals and final will be held at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY.
Leading the way this season for BC has been captain
Matthew Micharlsen, who has posted a 6-8 record on the year playing at the #1 singles position.
Deshi Wu has split time between the #4, #5 and #6 singles flights, while registering a 3-4 record at the #4 singles spot.
Cheyne Tribbey has also been solid for the Bulldogs this season, combining for a 5-4 record, while playing at the #3, #4, #5 and #6 singles positions.

Anthony Sideris will all play major roles in helping lead BC to a run through the CUNYAC Championships.
