Men’s Tennis Dropped by Purchase

Purchase, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Tennis team fell to the Panthers of Purchase College on Wednesday afternoon by a score of 9-0 on the road in Purchase, NY. With their loss, the Bulldogs drop to 0-4 overall on the season, while the Panthers improve to 6-1 overall on the year with their victory.

The match of the day came at #5 singles, between Purchase's Chris Matchneer and Brooklyn's Anthony Sideris.  After Matchneer took the first set 6-2, Sideris battled back to take a hard fought 7-5 win in the second set. Playing in a third set super tiebreaker, Matchneer would come out on top 10-5, as Sideris would come up short in his comeback bid.

Brooklyn will return to the court on Tuesday, April 2nd, as the Bulldogs will play host to the Bearcats of Baruch College in a City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) contest. The match is scheduled for a 4:00 pm start time at the Roosevelt Courts on the Brooklyn campus.
