Box Score Annandale-on-Hudson, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's Volleyball team swept the Raptors of Bard College in straight sets, 3-0 (25-15, 27-25, 25-21), on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Bulldogs even their overall record to 4-4 on the year; while the Raptors fall to 2-10 overall on the season.
Freshman
Julia Bogdan had a stellar game for Brooklyn, posting a match-best 11 kills, to go along with five aces and nine digs, both match-highs as well. Senior
Jillian Escobar added 10 kills and three aces, while freshman
Francesca LoCascio finished the day with five kills and four aces. As a team, the Bulldogs racked up 17 aces on the day.

Crystal Wu dished out a match-best 26 assists, to go with eight digs, while sophomore
Yelizaveta Malysheva and senior
Lisenia Rodriguez chipped in with six digs each.
For Bard, Tytravia Riley led the team with 10 kills, while Anna Kornfeld contributed with 12 assists and seven digs. Daniella Azulai also recorded seven digs, while Rebecca Speckenbach finished the day with five kills and four aces.
The Bulldogs took the first set with relative ease, as Brooklyn used a key 6-0 run to put the Raptors away in the opening set, 25-15.
The second set was tightly contested with five ties and three lead changes. The set featured runs by both teams, as the Bulldogs opened the set on a 7-1 run. The Raptors, however, would not go down lightly, answering the call with a 14-4 run to go up 15-11. The teams would continue to battle back-and-forth, as Brooklyn would eventually squeak out a hard fought 27-25 win to go ahead 2-0.
The Bulldogs would never trail in the third set as the visitors opened the final set with a 4-0 run. Brooklyn would keep Bard at arm's length throughout the set to eventually earn the 25-21 win to complete the three set sweep.
Brooklyn will return to the court this Tuesday, September 24th, as the Bulldogs will host borough foe NYU-Poly. The match is scheduled for a 7:00 pm start time at the West Quad Center.
