Men's Tennis Falls Short, 6-3, To Farmingdale In Non-Conference Tilt

Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Men's Tennis Team fell to a tough non-conference opponent, Farmingdale State, on Saturday afternoon on the Roosevelt Courts by the score of 6-3.  The team falls to 6-6 on the year while the visiting Rams up their season mark to 7-5. 

Deshi Wu and Tashfeen Afzal were the two bright spots on the day for the Bulldogs, as both went undefeated, teaming up to win their doubles match, while each won singles decisions as well.

The duo teamed up to knock off Farmingdale's Rommel Enriquez and Daniel Brandman, 8-6 in a #3 doubles match.

Afzal faced Enriquez in singles as well, playing in the #6 flight, and Afzal was once again victorious, winning 6-3, 6-2. Wu faced the Rams' Marvin Beaubrun in a #5 singles match, and also won in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2.

Brooklyn will head to Ramapo on Monday for another non-conference match as they will take on the Roadrunners at 3:30 pm in their final tune-up prior to the CUNYAC Championships that begin on Friday, April 25.
