Brooklyn, NY --- The #3 seeded Brooklyn College Men's Tennis team will open the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Championships against the #6 seeded John Jay College of Criminal Justice Bloodhounds in the quarterfinals round. The match is scheduled for 4:00 pm today, Friday, April 25th, at the Roosevelt Courts on the BC campus.

Today's winner will advance to the CUNYAC Semifinals, scheduled for Sunday, April 27th, at Queens College, where the winner between #2 Hunter College and #7 York College will await. The match is scheduled for a 3:00 pm start.

A win today will put Brooklyn in the semifinals round for the first time since 2007. The Bulldogs are hosting a quarterfinals round match for the first time since 2008.

BC defeated John Jay in their regular season matchup, 6-3, back on March 21st. In that match, Elliot Haddad, Charles Stevens, Trevaughn Daley and Marvin Gill all picked up wins in singles play at the #1, #2, #5 and #6 flights, respectively.

Haddad and Brandon Green teamed up to win at #1 doubles, while Daley and Gill partnered up to win at #3 doubles.

Daley, Green, Stanley Purcell and Robin Varughese have had solid seasons for the Bulldogs this season, as all four are tied for the team lead in singles victories with five.
