The Bulldogs dominated from the start of the match, taking all three doubles decisions in relatively easy fashion, as
Charles Stevens and
Elliot Haddad set the tone at #1 doubles, as they won 8-0 over Kevin Caicedo and Matt Smith.
Brooklyn's
Jonathan Chevinsky and
Albert Benjamin also took an 8-0 decision as they duo downed Kyle Johnson and Nolan Parr in their #2 match.
BC's
Andrew Mendelsohn and
Asher Korycka played the most competitive doubles match, as they got passed James Hanophy and Dickson Tan, 8-3 at #3 doubles.
In singles, Stevens defeated Caicedo, 6-0, 6-2 at the #1 court, while Chevinsky blanked Johnson, 6-0, 6-0 in the #2 flight.
The Bears got their lone win of the afternoon at #3 singles as Parr got by Benjamin, 4-6, 7-5, 10-8, in the most competitive match on the day.
Brooklyn senior
Marvin Gill defeated Smith at #4 singles, 6-3, 6-2, while
Jordan Ovadia got by Hanophy, 6-1, 6-0 in their #5 match.
Mendelsohn completed his perfect day, knocking off Carlos Marorga, 6-0, 6-1 at #6 singles.
The Bulldogs will face two of their top competitors in the CUNYAC over the next four days, as they travel to the National Tennis Center tomorrow to take on Baruch at 10 am, before returning home to take on Staten Island on Monday at 1 pm.
