Flushing, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Tennis team (4-4/2-1 CUNYAC) suffered its first loss in City University of New Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) play on Friday, as the Bulldogs fell to the Bearcats of Baruch College (3-0/3-2 CUNYAC), 8-1, at the USTA National Tennis Center in Flushing, NY.

Baruch took an early 3-0 lead after sweeping doubles play and continued its solid play in singles action, where the Bearcats took five of the six flights en route to their 8-1 win.

Brooklyn's Stanley Purcell picked up the Bulldogs' lone win on the day at #4 singles, where he outdueled Baruch's Allen Meyerovich, 7-5, 7-6 (8-6).

The Bulldogs return to action this Monday, April 6th, as Brooklyn will host the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island in another key CUNYAC meeting. The match is scheduled for a 1:00 pm start time at Roosevelt Courts on the BC campus.
