Bulldogs Improve to 9-1 Conference Record with Win at John Jay

BC defeats Bloodhounds 76-26 in CUNYAC play tonight.

New York, NY---With every Bulldog available to play tonight scoring at least a point, the BC women's basketball team cruised to a 76-26 victory at John Jay in CUNYAC action.  The Bulldogs improve to 13-5 overall and 9-1 in conference play with the win; John Jay drops to 4-12 and 2-8.  BC swept the regular season series with the Bloodhounds tonight.  

Led by junior forward Olivia Colbert's 16-point, 13-rebound double-double, four Bulldogs would reach double-figures in scoring on the evening.  Junior center Maya Agee-Thomas also finished the game with a double-double, scoring 13 points and grabbing 13 rebounds including 10 offensive boards.  She would also block five shots.  

Never trailing in the game, the Bulldogs jumped out to a 7-0 lead to start the contest.  Taking a commanding 37-9 halftime lead, the Bulldogs would open the next ten minutes of the game with a 13-2 run and never looked back.  

BC would hold the Bloodhounds to 16.3% shooting from the field on the evening.  

Sophomore guard Karen Mak provided another offensive lift off of the bench, scoring 11 points and dishing out six assists to teammates on the night.

Freshman guard Alexandra Moogan grabbed seven rebounds coming off of the bench in 22 minutes of action.  

The Bulldogs will resume conference play on Wednesday, January 27, to host Lehman College in a CUNYAC doubleheader.  Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 PM followed by the men's game at 7:15 PM at the West Quad Center on Brooklyn's campus.
