Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College men's tennis team started the 2016 season off in dominant fashion this afternoon, shutting out York 9-0 in conference play. York drops to 0-2 to the start the season. The Bulldogs will be back on the court on Tuesday at Purchase with doubles matches beginnig at 4:00 PM in non-conference action.
The Bulldogs started the team match with three quick victories in doubles play. Doubles teams of
Jonathan Chevinsky and
Ashley Matthieu, and
Gabriel Pariente and
Adam Zauderer both scored 8-0 shutouts at the #2 and #3 doubles slots respectively.
BC only only dropped three games all afternoon in singles matches. The Bulldogs won in straight sets with shutouts from #1 through #3 singles.
