Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College men's tennis team fell to Baruch on Tuesday afternoon by a final count of 8-1. With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 1-3 on the young season and 1-1 in conference play. Baruch improves to 6-1 and 3-0 in the CUNYAC.
Jonathan Chevinsky got the lone win for the Bulldogs, defeating Baruch's Lewis Pena, 6-2, 6-3, at #2 singles.
"We knew that today would be a test for us as Baruch is one of the top teams in the conference," said head coach Michael Philips. "I thought we competed, and I was glad to see we picked up the win at #2."
The Bulldogs will be back in CUNYAC action on Thursday, as they host the John Jay Bloodhounds at 4 pm on the Roosevelt Courts. Brooklyn will be looking to snap their current three-match losing streak, as well as try to go above .500 in CUNYAC play.
