Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College men's tennis team swept doubles matches, 3-0, to go on to defeat St. Joseph's Brooklyn, 6-3, in non-conference action on Wednesday at the Roosevelt Courts. BC improves to 4-6 with the victory. The Bears drop to 2-7. Brooklyn will be back on the court on Thursday, 4/21, to host Lehman in conference action with doubles starting at 4:30 PM.
The afternoon was highlighted by the No. 3 doubles pair of freshmen
Travis Burge and
David Sutton who defeated St. Joe's 8-6 despite having never played together in doubles. At No. 2 doubles,
David Zabriskie and
Adam Zauderer came back from being down 2-6 to defeat the Bears 9-7. Junior
Elliot Haddad won his second No. 1 singles match in a row 6-1, 6-0 following his best performance of the season against Staten Island on Monday.
