Brooklyn, NY---After suffering a pair of non-conference losses over the weekend, the Brooklyn College women's volleyball team got back on the winning track, shutting out local non-conference foe, St. Joseph's College Brooklyn, 3-0 (25-12, 25-18, 25-12). The Bulldogs improve to 14-10. St. Joe's dropped to 6-9 in defeat. Brooklyn returns to conference play on Thursday to host CCNY at the West Quad Center.
Match Notes
-Trailing the Bears early in the first game, the Bulldogs would claw their way back and make a 5-0 run that gave them a 14-10 advantage. Following a SJC score, BC rallied for eight more straight points to put the game out of reach for the home team.
-The home team would take another early lead in the second game before the Bulldogs methodically inched their back into the game and pulled away with six straight scores to take a 20-15 lead. A
Lucy Yazikova kill set up a game ending service ace hit by Jahada-Heaven Graham.
-It would be the Bulldogs who got off to the hot start in the third game, jumping out to a 10-2 advantage. BC cruised the rest of the game with junior outside hitter
