Bronx, NY---The Brooklyn College women's volleyball team closed out regular season conference play this evening with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-8) shutout of Lehman College on the road. Senior outside hitter
Sarina Rozek led the Bulldogs with a match-high 18 kills. BC improves to 16-12 overall and 7-1 in CUNYAC with the victory. Brooklyn will enter the upcoming CUNYAC Championships as the No. 2 seed and have earned a bye to the semifinal round on Friday, November. First, the Bulldogs will close out the regular season on Thursday as they play host to Yeshiva University on Senior Night. Opening serve is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
Match Notes
-Leading the Lightning 13-12 in the first game, the Bulldogs rallied for four straight including back-to-back Rozek kills to secure a comfortable lead down the stretch.
-Trailing the home team 12-6, BC would score eight of the next nine points to take a 14-13 lead in the second game. A four-point BC rally put the game out of reach for Lehman.
-BC cruised in the third game with multiple rallies to close out the match.
- Rozek also finished with a team-high four aces on the evening.
