Brooklyn, NY----The Brooklyn College women's volleyball team gave all of the fans that came out for Homecoming tonight what they were looking for - a win!  BC would shut out Maritime College, 3-0 (25-20, 25-18, 25-16) in an action-packed non-conference victory tonight at the West Quad Center. Brooklyn improves to 11-5 with the victory.  Maritime moves to 7-7 with the loss. The Bulldogs will be right back at it tomorrow evening at home against Sarah Lawrence College.  

Match Notes

-Trailing 15-13 in the first game, the Bulldogs rallied for six straight points capped by a service ace by senior outside hitter Sarina Rozek.  Rozek ended the game with a kill to give BC the 1-0 lead. 
-In the second game, the Bulldogs used three four-point flurries that helped them keep contol throughout the game. It would be Rozek again who rose to the occasion at the game, gaining possession for BC with a kill and ending the game with a service ace. 
-Brooklyn rolled in the third game beginning with a 4-0 run to start. Maritime did respond early, taking a 6-5 lead before BC rallied for six staright to take the lead for good. 

Leading the Bulldogs

-Rozek led the Bulldogs with a match-high 17 kills. She also served for a match-high six service aces. 
-Freshman setter Claudia Moi finsihed with a team-high 19 assists. 
-Maritime's Shannon Brady led the Privateers with nine kills.
