Brooklyn, NY--- Less than 24 hours after the Brooklyn College women's volleyball's 3-0 shutout over Maritime College last night, the Bulldogs took care of business once again, winning their fifth straight match against Sarah Lawrence College tonight, 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-17, 25-8). Brooklyn improves to 12-5 with the non-conference victory. Sarah Lawrence drops to 8-9 with the loss. The Bulldogs will play their third and fourth matches in three days as they travel to Fairleigh Dickinson U. tomorrow for a tri-match where they will take on Alvernia U. and the host.
Match Notes
-BC came out of the gate protecting their home court, jumping out to a 7-0 lead in the first game. The Gryphons inched their way back, cutting the BC lead to 15-11. However, BC rallied for seven straight to take a commanding 23-12 lead. Junior outside hitter
Michaela Appel ended the game with a kill.
-The visitor was resilient in the second game taking a 10-3 lead. Brooklyn would claw their way back into the game, towards the end only trailing 24-23 before the Gryphons ended the game with a kill.
-Brooklyn bounced back in the third game, using a 7-0 run to take a 21-11 lead towards the middle of the game. The Bulldogs got a little help from the Gryphons with a service error in their favor to win the game.
-The Bulldogs cruised in the fourth game, taking a 16-4 lead and never looking back.

Sarina Rozek led the match with 14 kills on the evening. She also had a match high in service aces (8) and a team-high in digs with 19.

Claudia Moi finished with a team-high 19 assists.
