New York, NY---In a tri-match with the top three CUNYAC teams going head-to-head today, the Brooklyn College Bulldogs would come out with a split to secure second place in the conference standings currently. The Bulldogs would put out a valiant effort against CUNYAC perennial favorite, Hunter College, but falling in the first match of the day, 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-15). BC bounced back in their second match handing John Jay College their first conference loss of the season, 3-1 (25-22, 25-17, 20-25, 25-14). The Bulldogs move to 13-8 overall and 5-1 in CUNYAC with the split. Hunter improved to 17-3 and 6-0 following the tri-match while John Jay dropped to 7-9 and 4-2 with the defeats on the day. The Bulldogs will have the rest of the week to practice before traveling to Rutgers-Camden for a tri-match on Saturday.

-The Bulldogs wasted no time to jump on the Bloodhounds early in the match, taking a 12-2 lead. John Jay pulled within three points before BC rallied for six straight scores. The Bloodhounds made another late push before senior outside hitter

-Following John Jay's close win in the third game, the Bulldogs found themselves tied 14-14 in the fourth game. In a crazy turn of events, the Bulldogs then scored the next eleven straight points to win the match.

Match Notes vs. Hunter College
-The Bulldogs kept within arm's length in the first game, only trailing 20-17 down the stretch.
-BC took an early 7-4 lead in the second game. A three point run gave BC a 13-8 lead. With BC leading 16-15, the host school rallied for 9 straight and point-game. Hunter closed out the game two points later.
-Hunter kept a slight cushion through the third game to close out the match.
