Brooklyn, NY---Ending 2017 on a high-note, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team cruised to a 71-57 win at St. Joseph's Brooklyn in non-conference action this afternoon. Four Bulldogs reached double-figure scoring led by freshman guard Taylor George's 18 points to improve to 8-2 on the season with the local win. St. Joe's dropped to 5-7 in defeat. The Bulldogs will be back in action at the West Quad Center on Wednesday, January 3rd, to host John Jay in a CUNYAC doubleheader. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:00 pm.
How It Happened
-The Bulldogs started the game off with a 7-0 tear capped by a made three buried by junior wing,
Alexandra Moogan. BC extended their lead to as many as 17 points, 19-2, in the first quarter. They ended the opening quarter with a 27-12 advantage.
-Brooklyn continued their offensive dominance to start the second quarter, jumping out to a 20-point lead, 32-12, with 6:52 remaining in the first half.
-The home team would come around in the final quarter, cutting the BC lead to as few as 11 points, 53-42, with 8:41 left in regulation before the Bulldogs responded with a 10-0 run beginning with back-to-back three-point Taylor George makes to extend its lead back up to 21 in the next three minutes of action. BC took their largest lead of the game (23) at the 3:29 mark in the final quarter.

-BC out-rebounded the Bears 22-7 on the offensive glass and 51-28 overall for the game.
-The Bulldogs finished with 14 steals to St. Joe's six.
