Bronx, NY---Led by freshman forward
Chanel Jemmott's 22 points and 13 rebounds off of th bench, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team rolled to a 69-55 victory at Lehman College in CUNYAC action this evening. Brooklyn improves to 7-1 and 1-1 with the conference win. Lehman dropped to 5-3 and 2-1 with its first conference loss of the season. The Bulldogs will pick back up with their non-conference schedule at Montclair State on Tuesday, December 12th.
How It Happened
-Leading by six points, 50-44, at the end of the third quarter, the Bulldogs opened the final period with a 10-0 run to take a 16-point advantage with a tick over six minutes to play.
-Brooklyn would go on a 13-2 run in the first quarter to lead by as many as 14 points following a
Jemmott lay-in.
-BC kicked their lead up to as many as 20 points on two separate occasions in the second quarter.
-The home team made their run in the third quarter, cutting the BC lead to six points heading into the final quarter.
