New Rochelle, NY---The Brooklyn College women's volleyball team suffered a non-conference setback this evening, falling on the road to the College of New Rochelle, 0-3 (19-25, 7-25, 16-25). BC drops to 5-4 with the loss. CNR improved to 7-4 with the victory. The Bulldogs will look to get back in the win-column on Thursday at York College for a chance to remain undefeated in CUNYAC play.
Match Notes
-The Bulldogs took an early lead in the first game before the Blue Angels strung together a 10-0 run to take a 16-9 lead. Brooklyn put a couple of three-point runs together, but the home team kept the lead for good after their ten-point spurt.
-CNR rolled in the second game, beginning with a 6-0 run. Brooklyn inched their way back to trail 10-6 before the Blue Angels scored ten straight.
-The third game reflected the first halfway through the game with the teams exchanging points. With the Bulldogs leading 12-11, CNR took the lead for good thanks to a 5-0 run that gave them the 16-12 advantage. The Blue Angels closed out the match with six straight scores.
