Throggs Neck, NY---The Brooklyn College women's volleyball team rolled to its tenth win of the season this evening with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-19) shutout of SUNY Maritime on the road. BC improves to 10-5 overall with the victory while the Privateers dropped to 3-9. The Bulldogs return on Thursday, October 4, to host the College of New Rochelle for non-conference match at 7:00 pm on Homecoming Night where the first 125 fans will receive a FREE Brooklyn Athletics t-shirt.
Brooklyn set the tone in the opening set, jumping out to an 11-2 lead. The Bulldogs continued its dominance in the second set, scoring eight of the final nine points of the set. Maritime would take an early 6-4 lead in the third set, but the Bulldogs used a five-score rally to take a commanding 19-13 lead.
The Bulldogs hit a percentage of .245 to the Privateers' .050 for the match.
Freshman setter,
Ezri Shor, and senior outside hitter, Appel finished with 13 kills a piece. Shor also added 11 assists and a team-high 13 digs to her evening. Sophomore setter,
Claudia Moi, served up a match-high four aces on the evening.
