Aston, PA---The Brooklyn College women's volleyball team had its season come to an end tonight falling at Neumann University, 3-0 (25-19, 25-16, 25-15) in the First Round of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championships.  Brooklyn completes the season with an 18-11 overall record.  The Bulldogs' 18 victories are the most in program history.  Neumann improved to 17-16 with the victory and advances to the second round of the postseason tournament.  

Brooklyn was led by senior outside hitter Michaela Appel's six kills and seven digs.  Freshman setter, Ezri Shor, closed out a stellar rookie campaign with five kills, six assists, and six digs.  

The Bulldogs looked strong to start the match, jumping out to a 4-1 lead in the first set.  However, the home team cut down on its errors and five kills gave Neumann a 6-5 lead.  Neumann made its final push towards the end of the set with a four-score rally for the 23-17 advantage.  

Neumann finished with 43 kills to Brooklyn's 14 for the match.  

Neumann jumped out to a 4-0 lead to start the second set before Brooklyn countered to tie the set, 5-5.  The Knights pulled away early beginning with a seven-point rally to take a commanding 13-6 lead.  

The Knights jumped out to a big lead to start the third set, 11-3, and never looked back.
