Brooklyn, NY---Playing from behind the majority of the contest, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team dropped its second non-conference game in a row this evening on the road at Cabrini University, 74-62. BC moves to 3-2 overall while Cabrini improved to 5-4 with the victory at home. The Bulldogs return to the West Quad Center on Tuesday, December 11 to take on local non-conference foe, St. Joseph's Brooklyn. Tip-off is set for 6:00 pm.
How It Happened
-With the game tied 10-10 with 5:42 left in the first period, the Cavaliers went on a 7-0 run to take the lead for good. Brooklyn would get as close as two points of the home team (19-17) following a lay-up finished by junior forward,
Jasmine Hansgen, with 7:31 remaining in the first half, but Cabrini responded with an 8-0 run to take its first double-digit lead of the game with 5:46 left before halftime. BC trailed by as many 13 points in the second period before going on a 12-4 run to close out the half and only trail the Cavs 41-36 at the half.
-Brooklyn continued its run to start the second half, scoring the first bucket of the third period. However, Cabrini responded an 8-2 run for a more comfortable cushion, which they were able to maintain for the rest of the evening.
-The Cavaliers shot 18-28 from the free throw line to the Bulldogs' 6-8 for the game.
-Brooklyn out-rebounded Cabrini 13-7 on the offensive boards.
-Cabrini got a big punch off of its bench outscoring the BC bench 25-8.

-Junior forward,
Chanel Jemmott scored a team-high 19 points and grabbed six rebounds.
-Junior guard,
Taylor George, added 15 points to go long with four assists and seven rebounds.
-Hansgen scored an efficient nine points on 4-5 shooting from the field. She also grabbed seven boards.
Leading the Cavs
-Naomi Washington scored a game-high 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds.
-Meghan Matthews added 12 points and dished out a game-high six assists.
