Brooklyn, NY----The Brooklyn College women's basketball team rolled to its fifth straight win this afternoon, defeating Farmingdale State College, 79-58, at the West Quad Center. BC improves to 11-6 with the non-conference victory while Farmingdale drops to 5-12 overall. The Bulldogs return to conference play at York on Wednesday, January 23, at York College at 5:30 pm.
How It Happened
-Never trailing the Rams the entire contest, the Bulldogs made their move late in the first half with an 11-2 run capped by a fastbreak lay-in finished by senior wing,
Alexandra Moogan, to take a 47-32 lead with just over a minute left in the second period. Brooklyn would head into halftime with a 49-35 advatange.
-Brooklyn maintained a double-figure lead through entire second half, closing out the contest with its largest lead of the game.
-Three Brooklyn starters reach double-figures in scoring combining for 53 points.
-Brooklyn capitalized on 18 second-chance points to the Rams' nine thanks to out-rebounding FSC 20-9 on the offensive boards.
-The Bulldogs also turned their defense into offense, scoring 23 points off of the Rams' 21 turnovers.

Chanel Jemmott's double-double led the way with the sophomore forward scoring a team-high 20 points and grabbing 16 rebounds.
-Senior forward,
Jasmine Hansgen, also finished with a double-double, scoring 17 points and grabbing 15 rebounds.
-Moogan added 16 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the game.
Leading the Rams
-Destiny Hurt scored a game-high 24 points. Nia Miller added 18 points.
-Alexis Hunter grabbed a game-high 20 rebounds.
