Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Bulldogs Women's Basketball Team won their home opener and first CUNYAC game of the season, defeating York 80-48, as freshman guard Ericka James led the Bulldogs with 24 points off the bench.  Brooklyn improves to 4-2 on the season and is now 1-0 in conference play.  The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday as they battle Cabrini at 1 pm.

Game Summary

• The Cardinals started hot, knocking down four first quarter three-pointers, as they grabbed an early 23-13 lead at the end of one.
• The Bulldogs came roaring back in the second, scoring the first 15 points of the period, to reclaim the lead, which they increased to as many as 14, before going into the half with an 11 point advantage.
• The second half was all Bulldogs, as the hosts increased their lead to as many as 35.
• Brooklyn made 12 threes on the night and outrebounded York, 50-45.

• Ericka James had a game-high 24 points, while knocking down 4-7 from three.
• Dasha Goodman had a double-double of 15 points and a team-high 10 boards.
• Taylor George had a game-high 5 steals while also pouring in 9 points and 4 assists.
