Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College women's basketball team closed out the 2018-19 regular season with an 86-38 rout of Medgar Evers College on the road this evening. Brooklyn will enter the postseason with an 18-7 overall record and a 14-2 mark in conference play earning the program the No. 2 seed in the upcoming CUNYAC Championships. The Bulldogs will host a semifinal round game on Tuesday, February 19, at the West Quad Center at 6:00 pm.
How It Happened
-Brooklyn jumped out ton 8-0 lead to start the game closing out the first quarter with a 27-4 lead.
-The Bulldogs held the Cougars to single-digit scoring in each of the first three quarters of the contest.
-Brooklyn shot 42.9% from beyond the arc as a team for the game.
-The Bulldogs scored 41 points off of the Cougars' 32 turnovers.
Leading the Bulldogs
-Sophomore guard,
Taylor George scored a team-high 17 points and dished out four assists without a turnover.
-Sophomore forward,
Chanel Jemmott, scored 16 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for her 13th double-double.

Alexandra Moogan and
Ardita Shaptafovic added 12 points a piece. Moogan connected on 4-9 from beyond the arc.
Leading the Cougars
-Janaisha Carrington scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
-Jessycca Myers added 11 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
