Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball Team fell behind 26-18 after the first quarter of play, but outscored Clarks Summit, 47-26 over the next three quarters to earn their second home win of the season, and improve to 3-0 overall. CSU falls to 2-1 on the year.
Chanel Jemmott led all scorers with 21 points and 21 rebounds, and in the process, passed Jaclyn Cavalcante for second place on the Brooklyn College All-Time Scoring list. Jemmot's 1,262 career points trails Sheila Zephir's all-time leading mark of 1,485, by only 223 points.
Three other Bulldogs were in double-figures today, with
Gianna Gotti's 13 points, 13 boards and 5 assists, earning her a first double-double on the season.Â
Ericka James knocked down four three-pointers, while pouring in 12 points, grabbing 6 boards and dishing out 5 assists.Â
Nancy Pham also knocked down three from beyond the arc, tallying 11 points, 7 boards and 4 assists.
Destiny Drummond provided a huge spark off the Brooklyn bench, chipping in with 5 points and 3 assists.
The Defenders were led by Randie Traxler's 16 points, including 5-11 from downtown. Â
Brooklyn will remain at West Quad on Friday, as they host Kean University at 6 pm.
