Madison, NJ----Thanks to balanced scoring and stingy defense, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team rolled to their third straight win, 67-38, on the road at Fairleigh Dickinson on Wednesday. BC improves to 6-1 with the victory while the Devils drop to 1-8 overall on the season.
Never trailing from the opening tip, the Bulldogs took an 18-2 lead at the end of the first period. The Bulldogs would keep the home team scoreless for almost ten straight minutes from the beginning of the first period and into the second.
BC led by as many as 35 points with 6:20 to go in the third period.
Four Bulldogs reached double-figures in scoring led by junior guard
Gianna Gotti's game-high 15 points. She also dished out six assists and tallied eight steals on the night. Senior forward,
Chanel Jemmott, and junior guard,
Ericka James, added 14 points each. Jemmott finished with the game's only double-double, grabbing 16 rebounds for the contest. James buried four three-point goals for BC.
The Bulldogs held the Devils to 22.6% shooting from the field for the night.
FDU was paced by Jade-Dee Tolentino's team-high 10 points off of the bench.
