New York, NY----After almost a month's layoff, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team rolled to an 85-49 conference win at John Jay on Monday night. BC improves to 7-2 overall and 2-0 in CUNYAC with the win while the Bloodhounds drop to 5-6 and 0-1. The Bulldogs will look to keep their momentum going at Baruch on Wednesday for another conference tilt at 5:30 pm. Fans will be permitted to attend Wednesday's game by registering beforehand

Brooklyn junior guards,
Ericka James and
Gianna Gotti, led the way offensively scoring 23 points each while combining for 11 three-point makes on the night. James shot 7-15 from beyond the arc. Gotti added 8 assists to her line on the evening.
Trailing the home team 14-13 at the end of the opening period, Gotti gave the Bulldogs the lead for good with a three-point make on BC's first possession. Brooklyn opened the quarter with an 8-0 run. The Bloodhounds responded, cutting the BC lead to 28-26 with 4:20 left in the first half before Brooklyn went on a 12-2 run for a 40-28 halftime advantage.
The Bulldogs controlled the second half and maintained a double-digit lead from the start of the third quarter until the final buzzer.
Brooklyn shot close to 40% from the field as a team including close to 39% from beyond the arc on the night while holding the Bloodhounds to under 30% shooting from the field.
BC senior forward,
Chanel Jemmott, grabbed a team-high 12 rebounds. Junior guard,
Nancy Pham, chipped in 12 points on the night.
John Jay was led by Bobbi Green's team-high 15 points. Katie Healy grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds in the loss.
