New York, NY----The Brooklyn College women's basketball team improved to 11-0 in CUNYAC play on Friday, rolling to a 78-33 conference win at CCNY. Brooklyn improves to 17-3 overall with the win while CCNY drops to 0-15 overall and 0-11 in CUNYAC. Already capturing the regular season conference title and #1 seed in the upcoming CUNYAC Championship tourney, the Bulldogs will to run the table in the conference on Tuesday at York.
Four Bulldogs reached double-digits in scoring led by
Destiny Drummond who contributed a season-high 20 points off of the bench.
Chanel Jemmott led the starters with 19 points.
Ericka James and
Aleah Rafat added 12 points and 11 points respectively.
Despite CCNY scoring the first bucket of the contest, the Bulldogs responded with a 15-0 run capped by a three-point make drained by Rafat and never looked back.
Brooklyn kept the Beavers to a little over 11% shooting from beyond the arc while shooting close to 38% as a team on the other end of th floor. James and Drummond knocked down four a piece from three-point on the night.
