Bulldogs Picked Second in CUNYAC Preseason Coaches Poll

Brooklyn, NY----Brooklyn, NY---Announced by the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) on Monday, the Brooklyn College men's tennis team was picked to finish second in this year's preseason conference coaches poll.  Baruch was picked to repeat as conference champs while the Bulldogs edged out Hunter for the runner-up slot.  John Jay was picked to finish fourth followed by Lehman and York.  In addition, junior, Ryan Sham, was named a Player to Watch in 2024.

Making an appearance in the CUNYAC semifinals last season, the Bulldogs ended the 2022-23 campaign with an 8-6 overall mark including a 4-1 record in CUNYAC.  Having already played a pair of matches in the Fall, BC opens their Spring slate at home in a non-conference match against Yeshiva University at 3:30pm on the Roosevelt Tennis Courts.  Following Yeshiva, Brooklyn will head down to Orlando, FL for non-conference matches against Colby-Sawyer and Hamline on March 15 and 16.

Finishing with a 6-4 overall record at top-flight singles including 3-1 in the conference, Sham is primed for his third straight season at the No. 1 slot in both singles and doubles this season.
