Box Score Purchase, NY----In search of their first win of the 2024-25 campaign, the Brooklyn College Men's Tennis team will have to wait until their next match as the Bulldogs fell on the road at Purchase College on Tuesday, 5-2. BC drops to 0-5 on the year with the loss while the Panthers earned a win in their season opener. Next Up: Brooklyn hosts their first match of the Spring in conference play against York College at 3pm on the Roosevelt Courts.
How it Happened
- Purchase took a 1-0 lead by winning all three doubles matches.
- The No. 2 doubles tandem of Allen Mardakhayev and Mujibur Shaad put up a fight, but were outlasted, 7-6 (7-4).
For the Bulldogs
- Shaad would go on to win his singles match at the No. 3 slot, (6-2, 7-5).
- Mardakhayev gave BC their second victory of the day in singles at the No. 4 flight, (6-0, 7-6[7-3]).
- Ryan Sham lost a heart breaker in a super-tiebreak, (4-6, 7-6[7-5], 7-10).
