BC Women's Swim and Dive Places Fourth at CUNYAC Championships

Bronx, NY----The Brooklyn College women's swimming and diving team wrapped up the 2026 CUNYAC Championships placing fourth for the three-day meet.  Hunter won its sixth straight title, Baruch was the runner-up, and John grabbed third.  Host school, Lehman, placed fifth and York ended the weekend in sixth place.

Yara Shaik earned 5 points for Brooklyn with a fourth place finish in the 200 backstroke.  Elizabeth Bailey-Hamm finished fifth in the 100 freestyle in a group of 14 swimmers.  Antonietta Baerga earned her second medal of the championships, finishing second in the 200 breaststroke (2:42.96).  The 400 freestyle relay foursome picked up 10 points by finishing fourth in the final event of the weekend.
