In the Men’s Cross Country team’s attempt to duplicate their championship success of last season, Patrick O’Leary-Gullo has played an integral role thus far.

O’Leary-Gullo began the year as the second Brooklyn College runner to cross the finish line in the Baruch Invitational with a time of 34:27.  The following week, O’Leary-Gullo clocked in at 32:48.85, shaving almost forty seconds off his time from the previous week.  His finish was good for twelfth overall and helped the Bridges take first place at the Queensborough Invitational.

O’Leary-Gullo had his best finish of the season in the month’s final meet at the York Invitational, finishing first among his BC teammates and sixth overall, reducing his 8K time to 31:40.

Speaking highly of O’Leary-Gullo before the season began, Head Coach Steve Podias continued to praise his sophomore runner’s skill and work ethic.  “Patrick has started this season determined to become one of the elite runners in the conference,” said Podias.

O’Leary-Gullo and his teammates will look to continue their success in October when they will be vying for their second consecutive conference championship on Sunday the 25th.
