Brooklyn Women Defeat Poly 62-47

Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball Team (3-1) defeated Polytechnic University (2-2) on Tuesday 62-47.  Priscilla Ramirez (Franklin D. Roosevelt / Brooklyn, NY) scored 16 points to lead a balanced scoring attack in the win.  Freshman Justine O'Callahan (Floral Park / Floral Park, NY) chipped in with 13 points and six rebounds.  

The Bridges struggled offensively in the first half, shooting just 20 percent (7-of-35) from the field.  Their stellar defensive play, however, kept BC afloat for most of the period and Brooklyn took a four point advantage into halftime.  

Brooklyn caught fire after the break, connecting on 51.5 percent (17-of-33) of thier shots, scoring 42 second-half points to ease out a 15-point triumph.
