Bridges Dominate Gators for Fourth Consecutive Victory

Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball Team (8-3, 1-1 CUNYAC) earned their fourth consecutive victory on Saturday afternoon in impressive fashion, downing Pine Manor College (2-8, 0-0 GNAC) 94-31 at Roosevelt Gymnasium.  11 different Bridges scored over the course of the game.

Brooklyn was solid right from the opening tap, scoring the game's first 21 points.  The Gators, scorless for the first seven and a half minutes of the game, were held to only six field goals in the opening stanza and committed 34 turnovers.

Freshman Justine O'Callahan (Floral Park / Floral Park, NY) scored a game high 22 points on a 9-of-15 shooting perfomance.  The 5-10 center also collected 10 caroms to record her third double-double of the season.  Classmate Demi Quinana (Abraham Lincoln / Brooklyn, NY) enjoyed perfect night from the floor as she converted all seven of her field goal attempts- five from long distance- and registered 19 points in just 14 minutes of play.  Jasmine Campell (Copaigue / Copaigue, NY) added a season-high 11 points, six boards, and four steals.

Megan Davidson (St. Edmund Prep / Brooklyn, NY) chipped in 11 points and five rebounds.  Amber Gordon (Bishop Loughlin / Brooklyn, NY) led the team with five assits, as Brooklyn totalled a season-best 24 helpers.  The Bridges defense was solid, collecting 22 steals, including a game-high six by Priscilla Ramirez (Franklin D. Roosevelt / Brooklyn, NY).

BC continues thier homestand with a conference match-up with CUNYAC rival New York City College of Technology on Wednesday evening at 5:00 pm.
