Balanced Attack Help BC Women Cruise Past York, 73-60

Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball Team (2-3, 1-0 CUNYAC) saw all 5 starters score in double-figures on Tuesday evening as they breezed past the visiting York College (3-3, 0-1 CUNYAC) team, 73-60.

Priscilla Ramirez (FDR / Brooklyn, NY) led the way for Brooklyn, scoring18 points, while grabbing 13 rebounds and dishing out 6 assists.

Junior point guard Ariel Smith (Wallkill / Newburgh, NY) had her best game of the season, scoring 17 points and dishing out 4 assists. Amber Gordon (Bishop Loughlin / Brooklyn, NY) scored in double-figures for the third consecutive game, hitting for 11 in only 26 minutes of play.

Justine O'Callahan (Floral Park / Floral Park, NY) notched 10 points and 6 rebounds to go along with a team-high 3 steals.  Frances Lyons (James Madison / Brooklyn, NY) notched her 3rd double-double of the season, scoring 10 points and pulling down 10 boards.

York was paced by Kadisha Wickham (HJ Robinson / Turks & Caicos), who scored 15 points and notched 12 boards in the loss.

The Brooklyn College Bulldogs will travel to CSI on Thursday where they will try and take a bite out of the Dolphins in a battle of 1-0 teams in the South Division.
