Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Volleyball Team (2-8) earned a first set victory over New Jersey City University (11-6) but could not hold on, as the Gothic Knights came back to win the next three sets and take the match 3-1.

BC took the opening set 30-26 behind the sensational serving of Tommy Ma (New Utrecht / Brooklyn, NY), who recorded four aces in the first set.  NJCU then came back to take the next three 30-24, 30-18, and 30-22.

Overall, Ma led the Bridges with five service aces, 16 kills, and 14 digs.  Setter David Mayerson (Lawrence / North Woodmere, NY) recorded a match-high 32 assists. He also added 11 digs.

NJCU posted a balanced offensive attack, recording 51 kills in the match,  Danny Kochanski (Bayonne / Bayonne, NJ) had a team-high 10 kills and hit .412 for the match. The Gothic Knights also received 22 assists from Jorge Rodriguez (Memorial / Havana, Cuba).

Brooklyn continues their homestand on Thursday evening, taking on CUNYAC rival Hunter College.  The first serve is set for 7:00 pm.
