New York, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball Team (6-4) lost a 71-67 decision to St. Joseph's College Long Island (5-4) on Saturday afternoon, 71-67, breaking the team's 5-game winning streak that dated back to December 1st.
The game was a part of the New York University New Year's Classic.
The BC offense never got clicking, as the team shot 27 for 85 from the field for the game. There was a huge discrepancy in trips to the foul line as St. Joe's was attempted 45 free throws in comparison with 13 for the Bulldogs.
Priscilla Ramirez (FDR / Brooklyn, NY) led Brooklyn, with a game-high 20 points and 10 rebounds in only 27 minutes.
The team will look to bounce back on Sunday as they take on FDU-Florham at 12pm in the second and final day of the Classic.
