Box Score
Hoboken, NJ---The Brooklyn College Women's Basketball Team returned to action on Thursday night after almost three weeks off due to final exams and the holiday to take on Stevens Tech in Hoboken. The Bulldogs showed their rust as they shot a dismal 30% from the field, including connecting on only 22% from long distance, falling to the Ducks by a 65-45 final.
The win was the fourth consecutive for Stevens, pushing their overall record to 7-1, while Brooklyn suffered their second straight loss, falling to 6-4 on the year.
Victoria Webber had 18 points and 5 rebounds to top the Ducks.
Senior guard
Ariel Smith had 18 points and 5 steals to lead the Bulldogs, while
Amber Gordon also poured in 10 points.
BC's pressure defense caused havoc, forcing 25 turnovers, including 14 steals, but Stevens' size was proved to be too much as they gained a 44-30 rebounding advantage and held the Bulldogs to a poor night from the field.
Brooklyn will return to conference action on Wednesday as they travel to Queens to face York in what will be a battle for first place in the CUNYAC South. Stevens will travel to Hunter on Monday to face the Hawks in a non-conference contest.
