Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Men's Volleyball Team (1-4, 1-3 CUNYAC) got their first win of the season, and the first career win for rookie Head Coach Patricia Morris on Tuesday night, as they defeated Medgar Evers in four sets, 26-30, 30-19, 30-20, 30-21.
Guillermo Melosevich (East Side / Belleville, NY) was big for Brooklyn, dishing out 43 assists, while notching 14 digs, in addition to 3 kills and 2 service aces.
Rolegio Griffith (William E. Grady / Brooklyn, NY) led the offense again with 17 kills.
Konstantin Batura (James Madison / Brooklyn, NY) had a solid all-around game, chipping in with 7 kills, 18 digs and 2 solo blocks.
"The win was a complete team effort as everyone contributed," said coach Morris of her first at the helm. "It was good to see the guys finally coming together as a team which is something that we have been trying to develop. After a close match with CCNY over the weekend, it's great to get our first win out of the way."
