Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Volleyball team fell to the Gothic Knights of New Jersey City University in straight sets, 3-0, (30-15, 30-19,30-22) tonight at the West Quad Gymnasium. With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 3-15 on the year, while the Gothic Knights improve to 13-7 overall.
Jose Matta led the way for the visitors, tallying a game-best 14 kills, posting a .440 hitting percentage, to go along with seven digs. Kenny Lisk also finished the night with double digit kills with 10. Jorge Rodriguez and Felipe Siqueira set up the NJCU attack with 17 and 16 assists, respectively. Rodriguez also chipped in with three service aces and six digs.
For the Bulldogs, sophomore
David Choy (Brooklyn, NY/Telecommunications) recorded a team-high seven kills, while freshman
Guillermo Melosevich (Belleville, NY/East Side) had a game-high 19 assists. Senior
Auston Sumitro (Wappingers Falls, NY/John Jay) closed out the night with a game-best 14 digs.
Brooklyn is back in action tomorrow, Tuesday March 16th, as the Bulldogs will play host to CUNYAC foe City College of New York in their final home game of the 2010 season. Seniors Sumitro,

Shawn Baumann (Brooklyn, NY/Leon M. Goldstein) and
Konstantin Batura (Brooklyn, NY/James Madison) will all be honored prior to the game as part of senior day festivities. Game time is slated for 7:00 pm at the West Quad Gymnasium.
