Men's Volleyball Drops Regular Season Finale; To Play Hunter in CUNYAC Quarterfinals

Purchase, NY --- The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team (3-17, 2-12 CUNYAC) dropped its regular season finale to the Panthers of Purchase College (7-12, 3-7 Skyline) on Thursday, 3-2, with scores of 22-30, 30-25, 25-30, 31-29, 14-16.

Leading the Panthers attack was the duo of Peter Witkowski and Dan Grabowski-Clark, combining for 48 of the teams' 66 kills, with 25 and 23, respectively. Grabowski-Clark also had five block solos. Brandon Berry chipped in with 10 kills on the night, to go along with 13 digs for the double-double. Bruno Estrada set up his teammates dishing out a game-high 56 assists, while Michael Seltzer finished the game with a team-best 14 digs.

For Brooklyn, Senior Konstantin Batura (Brooklyn, NY/James Madison) recorded a double-double, posting a team-best 15 kills, to go with 14 digs, while classmate Auston Sumitro (Wappingers Falls, NY/John Jay) finished with a game-best 18 digs. Sophomore David Choy (Brooklyn, NY/Telecommunications) was also in double figure kills with 14. Freshman Guillermo Melosevich (Belleville, NY/East Side) continued his solid play with 40 assists on the night.

With the regular season behind them, Brooklyn will now set its focus onto post-season play, in the CUNYAC Quarterfinals, where the #7 seeded Bulldogs will travel to face the #2 seeded Hunter College Hawks (19-9, 12-2 CUNYAC) on Tuesday, March 23rd at 6:00 pm.
