Men's Volleyball Drops Two in CUNYAC Multi-Match

New York, NY --- The Brooklyn College men's volleyball team (2-12, 2-9 CUNYAC) dropped both of their games in the CUNYAC Multi-Match on Saturday on the campus of CCNY. They were swept 3-0 in both matches against Hunter (15-7, 11-1 CUNYAC) and Baruch (25-2, 12-0 CUNYAC). 

In their loss to the Hawks, by scores of 18-30, 10-30, 22-30, Mohamed Taman (Valley Stream South / Valley Stream, NY) recorded nine kills while hitting .300. David Choy (Telecommunications / Brooklyn, NY) notched eight kills and added three digs. Guillermo Melosevich (East Side / belleville, NY ) had 13 assists and five digs on the game. Russell Morton (Abraham Lincoln / Brooklyn, NY) led the team with three solo blocks. 

Braien Otsla (New Utrecht / Brooklyn, NY) and Roman Siromakha (New Utrecht / Brooklyn, NY) had double digit kills for Hunter, knocking in 11 and 10 respectively. 

Against Baruch, the scores were 10-30, 13-30, and 11-30. Brooklyn had a -.145 hitting percentage, leading to their scoring troubles. Taman led the team with three kills and added eight digs. Auston Sumitro (John Jay / Wappingers Falls, NY) and Melosevich had double digit digs, registering 11 and 10 respectively. 

Eryke Kowalski (Environmental Studies / Zabno, Poland) of the Bearcats had 10 kills and a .533 hitting percentage. 

Brooklyn has two home matches this week, on Monday, March 8 at 7:00 pm against Lehman and Tuesday, March 9 at 7:00 pm against York.
