Brooklyn, NY --- Following a nearly two and a half week break for finals and the holidays, the Brooklyn College Women's Basketball team will return to action this Saturday, December 29th, as BC will play host to the Pioneers of the University of Wisconsin – Platteville, members of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC). The game is scheduled for a 1:00 pm start time at the West Quad Center.

The Bulldogs are currently riding a three-game winning streak and will look to make it four straight, as Brooklyn will close out the 2012 portion of its 2012-2013 schedule against UW-Platteville in tomorrow afternoon's non-conference contest.
BC is led by senior guard
Brittany Bowen, who is averaging a team-leading 12.7 points per game, while junior guard/forward
Vanessa D'Ambrosi is averaging 10.9 ppg to go along with 8.0 rebounds per game. Senior guard
Charnelle Saint Laurent is next at 9.3 ppg, while sophomore
Nicole Francomano is averaging a team-best 5.0 assists per game, to go with a team-high 3.3 steals per game. Francomano is among the top point guards in the country, as she currently ranks 10th nationally in assist/turnover ratio and 25th in all of Division III in assists per game. Senior forward/center
Tiffany Thompson is the team's leading rebounder at 9.2 rpg.
The Pioneers are led by senior guard Elizabeth Lawinger, who is averaging 11.8 ppg, 4.5 apg and 2.0 spg, all team-highs. Senior center Kim Wellnitz is also in double figure scoring with 10.7 ppg, while sophomore forward Alyssa Krajco is chipping in with 9.4 ppg and a team-leading 5.5 rpg.
The Bulldogs will look to remain unbeaten at the West Quad Center, where Brooklyn holds a perfect 5-0 record on the season. UW-Platteville has struggled on the road this year, as the Pioneers are currently winless away from home (0-7).
