New York, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Volleyball team dropped a City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) match tonight against the #15 Bearcats of Baruch College, falling in straight sets, 3-0 (25-11, 25-10, 25-13), at the ARC Arena on the campus of Baruch.
Baruch is ranked #15 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Men's Coaches Top 15 Poll.
With the loss, the Bulldogs drop to 6-12 overall on the season and 2-8 in the CUNYAC, while the Bearcats improve to 12-7 overall on the year and 8-1 in conference play.

Duong Thai finished the match with a team-high five kills, while freshman
David Dimitruk and junior
David Rafailov each notched four kills apiece. Senior
Gene Tom dished out 10 assists, while sophomore
Timothy Hui chipped in with eight digs.
Baruch was paced by Steven Coniglio's match-high 10 kills, while hitting a solid .643. Danny Olson contributed to the offense with a game-best 32 assists.
In the first set, Brooklyn held an early 2-1 advantage before the Bearcats rattled off five straight points, aided by three service aces from Nick Smith, to take a 6-2 advantage. Baruch would never trail in the set again as the home team would go on to take the eventual 25-11 win. The Bearcats recorded nine kills, zero attack errors and 19 total attack for a .474 hitting percentage in the set.
The Bulldogs would take an early lead in the second set as well, scoring the first two points in the set; however, the Bearcats would once again take control of the set jumping out on a 10-2 run to go up 10-4. Baruch would never trail again en route to its 25-10 win. The Bearcats hitting was solid once again, as Baruch hit .500 in the second set.
The Bearcats used a 5-0 run to start off the third set as Baruch would go on to take the third and final set, 25-13, to complete the straight sets match victory.
Brooklyn will be back in action next Thursday, March 22nd, as the Bulldogs will play host to conference and borough rival Medgar Evers College. The match is scheduled for a 6:00 pm start at the West Quad Center.
