Box Score Brooklyn, NY --- The #4 seeded Brooklyn College Men's Volleyball team won an exhilarating 3-1 (26-24, 27-25, 36-38, 25-22) match in the quarterfinals round of the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) Championships on Tuesday night at the West Quad Center over the #5 seeded Beavers of the City College of New York (CCNY).
With the win, BC improves to 13-11 overall on the season and advances to the semifinals round of the CUNYAC Championships for the second straight season. The Bulldogs will take on the top seeded Bearcats of Baruch College this Friday, April 12th at 6:00 pm at Nat Holman Gymnasium on the campus of CCNY. Baruch defeated #8 Medgar Evers College in their quarterfinal meeting.

The Beavers conclude their season with a 13-15 overall record.
All four sets on the night saw tight, back-and-fourth action. Overall, BC and CCNY totaled 42 ties and 17 lead changes in the match.
After Brooklyn edged out 26-24 and 27-25 wins in the first and second sets, respectively; the set of the match would come in the third, which saw CCNY pull out an incredible 38-36 win, to force a fourth set, which the Bulldogs would win 25-22 to punch their ticket to the semifinals.
The third set saw the teams rack up 18 ties and 10 lead changes.
Leading the way to victory for BC was junior
Timothy Hui, who registered his second triple-double of the season, with a team-high 31 assists, 18 digs and 16 kills. Sophomore
David Dimitruk posted a match-best 19 kills, to go along with a match-high 26 digs, to record a double-double. Classmate
Lucas Moline added 14 kills, while senior
Mateusz Gotowicki finished with seven kills and four total blocks. Freshman
Serhan Akturk contributed with 12 digs, while senior
Christopher Valverde chipped in with 25 assists.
For CCNY, Brian Yik Lim recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 14 digs, while Derell Williams added 10 kills. Anthony Reyes paced the offense with a match-high 32 assists, while Bobby Xihe Xie and Bryan Hu finished with 15 and 13 digs, respectively.
