Box Score Brooklyn, NY---The Brooklyn College Women's Soccer program has established itself as one of the top programs in the CUNYAC, winning back to back titles over the past two seasons, however that run came to an end on Wednesday evening as CSI, the squad Brooklyn defeated in each of those CUNYAC final wins, knocked the Bulldogs out in the conference semifinal, 1-0.  Brooklyn ends their season 5-11-2.  The Dolphins will go on to face Lehman in Saturday's final, as they Lightning knocked off John Jay, 4-0 in the day's other semifinal.

For Brooklyn, the season has been a tough one as season-ending injuries to two starters plagued what looked to be a strong chance at a three-peat.  In additon, the team's rigorous non-league schedule produced a harsh season record, but the Bulldogs hoped home cooking and a veteran squad would be able to pull them back into the CUNYAC final.  

Staten Island had a different idea, and when Danielle Alexandrini scored in the game's 22nd minute, the Bulldogs were in trouble, as these two teams played 110 minutes in the regular season with neither team able to get on the board, and therefore an earlier score by the visitors put a ton of pressure on BC.

The Bulldogs were able to get three shots on goal in the second half, but could not produce the equalizer, seeing their season come to an end.

The squad loses a very important group of seniors in Shani Nakhid-Shuster, Sayla Flores, Jasmine Fermin, Stefany Ibarra, Janet Rodriguez and Elyzaveta Paradna. Coach Horne and assistant, Happy Orere-Amadu will be hard at work to recruit and get the squad back to a championship level.
