Preview: Bulldogs to Host No. 4 NYU on December 30th

Tip-off scheduled for 2:00 PM at the West Quad Center

Brooklyn, NY---During the holiday recess, the Brooklyn College women's basketball team will be hosting No. 4 nationally ranked New York University on Wednesday, December 30, for their last game in 2015. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 PM at the West Quad Center. Listen to the game live HERE .

Brooklyn Bulldogs (7-3, 4-0 CUNYAC)
  • Currently sitting in first-place in the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) with an undefeated 4-0 conference record.
  • Winners of six of their last seven games.
  • Led by junior forward Olivia Colbert's double-double season average of 15.8 PPG and 10.0 RPG.
  • The Bulldogs are coming off of a 54-45 comeback victory at fellow CUNYAC member Lehman College on December 11th.
  • The last time the Bulldogs defeated the Violets was on December 3rd during the 2012-13 season. NYU has been victorious in the last two meetings.
  • BC resumes conference play on Sunday, January 3, at home against the College of Staten Island in a double-header with the men's team. The women are scheduled to tip off at 12:30 PM at the West Quad Center.

New York University Violets (7-0)
  • Currently ranked #4 nationally by D3Hoops.com.
  • The Violets last victory came back on December 5th at Emmanuel College (MA), 59-54.
  • NYU is currently led by junior guard Kaitlyn Read's 18.1 PPG and 7.0 RPG. She also leads the team in steals with 30 for the season so far.
  • The Violets have made back-to-back trips to the NCAA Division III Tournament the past two seasons.
  • Following the game with BC, the Violets will host their Holiday Classic January 2-3.
