Box Score Brooklyn, NY --- The Brooklyn College Men's Volleyball team traveled to borough rival St. Joseph's College (Brooklyn) and dropped the non-conference match in straight sets on Wednesday night at The Hill Center.
BC was led by
Rudy Zhao and his match-high 14 kills, to go along with nine digs, three aces and a block.
Shawn Varghese added seven kills, to go with a match-best 11 digs.
Kevin Bautista paced the offense with 17 assists, while also adding seven digs.
St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) was led by Raul Urshela's team-high 10 kills to go with six aces, while Thomas Kennedy finished with six kills and four aces and Taso Kostikas added five kills, to go with a team-best nine digs. Norrin Martinez dished out 17 assists.
Overall, the teams combined for 20 ties and 12 lead changes throughout the three sets.
Brooklyn returns to action on Monday, February 16th, as the Bulldogs will take on John Jay College of Criminal Justice (11 am) and the College of Staten Island (1 pm) in the second City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) multi-match of the season. Hunter College will serve as the host site for the day.
